There’s a carpark next to Deal Castle. Free for English Heritage members displaying a valid car sticker. Non-members must pay. There’s a 3-hour limit for all cars in the car park.
Deal Castle shop sells a selection of English Heritage gifts and themed souvenirs. There’s also a secondhand bookshop in the castle.
There are three on-site toilets, one of which has baby-changing facilities.
No dogs allowed, but assistance dogs welcome.
Discover site-finds of Tudor weaponry from Camber Castle, another of Henry VIII's forts, including pike-heads, armour-piercing arrows, and equipment for cannons and muskets in the Gatehouse.
There’s an interactive exhibition at Deal Castle exploring the people who lived and worked in the castle. Discover the world of 1539 and how Deal Castle fit into it with a large, illustrated map of Europe explaining the international situation at the time the castle was built. In the basement, explore 'the rounds', a dark and winding passage encircling the whole castle. Children can borrow wellies and wooden muskets to play at defending the castle.
