Derived from excavations, the objects provide strong evidence of the lives and beliefs of Wroxeter’s civilian inhabitants during the 2nd to 4th century AD. As part of our celebrations for the 1900 anniversary of the building of Hadrian's Wall, English Heritage have created a very special experience for schools. A rare Roman knife handle cast in the shape of a gladiator has been discovered in a river at Corbridge Roman Town on Hadrian's Wall in Northumberland.
