Bolsover Blitz: 80th Anniversary of VE Day

Celebrate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day at the Bolsover Blitz! This year, the town of Bolsover town will come alive with nostalgia and excitement as we commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day! Hosted by Bolsover Town Council, the event will be a vibrant celebration of the 1940s era, featuring re-enactors, period clothing, and plenty of entertainment. Expect a fantastic mix of live music, dancing, and a wide variety of wartime and 1940s vehicles on display. Be sure to take a trip down memory lane with our vintage penny arcade, and if you’re in the mood to update your wardrobe, the vintage sellers will have something special for you. Make sure to stretch your legs and head up to Bolsover Castle – the grassed area in front of the red gates will be the perfect spot to enjoy even more displays of classic vehicles, re-enactors, music, and more. It’s a day of family fun and a chance to relive history – don’t miss it! We look forward to seeing you there and sharing this unforgettable celebration with our community.
