Delightful tea room serving a selection of locally produced hot and cold food including sandwiches, cakes, hot and cold beverages. The tea room closes one hour before the castle's advertised closing time.

Dogs on leads are allowed, but not in museum. Assistance dogs welcome.
The on-site Carisbrooke Museum (managed by the Carisbrooke Museum Trust) provides more historical information about the castle, as well as Charles I memorabilia.
As well as lawn and gravelled areas, Carisbrooke Castle features the Princess Beatrice Garden designed by TV presenter and award-winning garden designer, Chris Beardshaw.

Some cars may be on site to access the disabled parking. The wall walk is high up, and handrails are provided for safety.

Due to the delicate nature of our sites, English Heritage does not permit drone flying from or over sites in our care, except by contractors or partners undertaking flights for a specific purpose, who satisfy stringent CAA criteria, have the correct insurances and permissions, and are operating under controlled conditions.
