    Free parking for 30 cars 100m from site entrance. The surface of the car park may be difficult for wheelchair users. Disabled visitors can be set down just outside the entrance.

    The Parterre Garden is a recreation of the type of garden that would have been here in 1690. There are a number of benches around the site. Most of the paths are of compacted gravel. In the parterre they are loose gravel.

    Audio tour included in the admission price. It guides visitors through the house and gardens, accompanied by commentaries from experts in garden history, conservation and country houses.

We do have some restrictions at certain locations, so if photography is your main reason for visiting, please call the site ahead of your visit to check if any parts of the site are restricted. English Heritage does not permit drone flying from or over sites in our care, except by contractors or partners undertaking flights for a specific purpose, who satisfy stringent CAA criteria, have the correct insurances and permissions, and are operating under controlled conditions.
