Members' Week:

Scarborough Castle: Its Custodians and World Wars

DATE

Thu 8 May 2025

TIME

11am - 12pm

LOCATION

Scarborough Castle

SUITABLE FOR

Adults

Join us for a talk with our volunteer guide looking at the role of Scarborough Castle and the surrounding headland both as a target for the Germans and a key defensive feature of the Yorkshire coast. It will also examine the experiences of the custodians of Scarborough Castle during the two conflicts and the lives of their families living there.

This event has been graded as moderate access due to uneven terrain and few places to stop and sit.
